What Is RSS?
"RSS" - depending on who you ask - stands for either "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary". Also known as a "feed", it's a way to subscribe to a website and be informed automatically when the site is updated.
In order to susbscribe to RSS, you'll need a piece of software called an "RSS aggregator" or "feed reader". There are several feed readers available on the internet as well as web-based feed reading programs. Many modern email and web browsing software packages even have a reader built in. Below are a few RSS feed readers we have tried and like:
Web Browsers
- Firefox
- Internet Explorer (Version 7 and above)
